The Role: Director of Marketing
The Location: Austin, TX
Dovetail Software is a worldwide leader in web-based customer support software and help desk products that enable organizations to provide effective support for both customers and employees. Our products have rich out-of-box functionality and are easy to implement, integrate, use, extend, and maintain. Due to strategic growth our company is looking to add an experienced and strategic Director of Marketing to our leadership team.
What will I be doing?
The Director of Marketing will work closely with the CEO to develop and execute a marketing strategy, tying together the various social media channels. They will maximize the value of our website which will include building brand awareness, web content development, online/search engine marketing and optimization, and site tracking and analysis. The Director of Marketing
will also develop lead generation programs in conjunction with the sales team, develop and manage relationships with analysts and schedule and manage external events.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related field
5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years working for a smaller technology firm
Experience creating and implementing long-term marketing strategies that align with core business goals and objectives
Experience creating and implementing brand awareness programs that increased sales, market presence and profitability
2 years experience developing, implementing and measuring digital/social media strategy
Ability to manage social networking presence including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other similar sites
Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics) and SEO tools
Excellent writing skills, sound editorial judgment and strong verbal communication skills are a must
Creative and visionary team player with ability to wear many hats and multi-task
