RESERVOIR ENGINEERING TECH

Brief Description

The primary responsibility for the Engineering Technician will be to support Corporate Acquisition/New Ventures efforts and consolidate year end reserve cashflows for SEC reporting.

Work will include research, data gathering & loading, economic cashflow construction and reporting, and development of presentation materials.

Detailed Description

  • Focal point for year end SEC reserve reporting. Work with engineers and technicians from multiple business units to consolidate and roll-up corporate reserve cashflows Prepare documentation as needed for SEC reporting, quarterly close, and periodic bank updates
  • Regularly manage and maintain cashflow database associated with Portfolio Modeling Receive cashflows from BUs; export into Portfolio Modeling database in consistent format; complete QC work to ensure consistency in data across all regions
  • Work with team to Develop “institutionalized” methodology for Portfolio Modeling; develop documentation/training materials for Portfolio Modeling process
  • Able to consolidate economic cashflows, change price decks, and create oneline summaries/ reports from Aries or Peep in support of acquisition evaluations
  • Export/import production data from IHS, Excel, Aries, or Peep and construct production plots, economic cashflows, and complete decline curve analysis
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for acquisition evaluations, Board of Director meetings, and management strategy sessions
  • Assist with special projects and research

Job Requirements

  • Aries “Super user” and proficient in Peep economic software
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office products: Access,
  • Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in various production related software including IHS
  • Exposure to Outlook Soft and other accounting related software
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Above average analytical and communication skills
  • Perform simple engineering computations, including basic algebra, rapidly and accurately
  • Flexible and able to work in a team environment
  • 5 plus years engineering technician with oil and gas experience
  • High school diploma; college degree preferred

Additional Details

  • Normal office environment
  • Occasionally move light objects (less than 20 pounds) short distances (20 feet or less).
